To dream that you are on the beach and looking out toward the ocean indicates unknown and major changes that are occurring in your life. Good morning, my blog. It has been a while I don't take time to write in here. It has been cold and wet for months down in the South of Brazil. It is December and this is Brazil. El niño La niña, whatever they call, it is affecting my mood profoundly. It is 10 degrees celsius. Is this normal in a tropical country? I can't stop drinking coffee. I cannot work properly. I cannot function. Meanwhile, another terrorist attack in France. What to say? There is terrorism in my country too. I miss having spare time to blog. Now I have so much to write about. Our lives are changing completely. As my country is going through its hardest time in the history of Brazilian Republic, I see socialists being in the power, taking over Brazil, and doing whatever they please in order to stay in the power. I see poverty increasing. There are more homeless and at the same time, refugees. This is crazy. We are a poor and dangerous country that lives a non-official guerrilla, or war, the battle agains drugs in major cities. Brazilians are victims of pick-pockets, burglers, and street robbers because all they want is small money to buy Crack and Cocaine. This is hell of a topic for a teacher's blog post. I am entitled by my constitution the right to express whatever I want and whatever I see happening and it should or must be reported and spread to many countries. Since losing the World Cup at home, Brazilians started being more critical and political on social media network. Dehmonstrations and protests have become stronger and super crowded. People went camping in front of the congress in our capital for many days so that our president Dilma Rousseff would get impeached. Not. Nothing happened. Breaking News: My life is about to change completely in a week. I am super and not afraid at all. I can't wait to have the changes done so that I can type here how things are going to work. As I am not sure how things are going to work, I must not let out details. Although, my experience and feelings tell me that hubby and I are taking the best choices. What I am allowed to say for sure is that Brazil is not being neglected. As nation, our country is disappointing us in a great deal. Therefore, we must stay and fight for a better place. Leftists have been in the power since 2002. Coincidently, hubby and I came back from USA to live in Brazil "for good" in the same year, 2002. In Brazil, we have become entrepreneurs and leftist governments are not entrepreneurship-friendly huahauhauahua. Thus, we are broke. We are hopeless. However, we are not going to give up. We have each other. We have one another. Demonstrations have popped up since 2013. We can't accept corrupted political leaders anymore. The Brazilian currency has fallen more than 30 per cent in a year. Interest rates are at 15 per cent, 9 percentage points of which are gobbled up by inflation. Unemployment is climbing. The economy is shrinking. And if that were not enough, Brazil is also suffering its biggest-ever corruption scandal. Petrobras, the state-owned energy company, admitted to losses of R$6bn ($1.6bn); the federal police puts the figure far higher. The affair has weakened an already indecisive president. Since her re-election last year, Dilma Rousseff has lost control of her government coalition and of much of her own Workers’ party. Her approval rating has sunk to 7 per cent — lower even than the 9 per cent rating of former president Fernando Collor de Mello just before he left office under duress in 1992. Ms Rousseff may yet face a similar fate; in a move that could presage impeachment, the federal budget watchdog , the TCU, rejected the government’s 2014 accounts. Brazilians are moving away. But we won't. Nevertheless, I am still interested in a job down in San Diego area. huhuahauahuahauahua

The time has come. We have worked for free for too long. The economical crisis is molding our society and the leftists in power are screwing with us all. Companies and stores are closing down and too many people are jobless. Economists predict worse crisis for the next years.

Down at my job, I have been censored, disrespected, judged by my political view, or my teaching methods which have been designed by me because it is my own business. Anyhow, people think just because they pay the school tuition, they can come in and determine our price, the grades, the school plan, the setting, dismiss teachers who they hate... as they owned the place.

I am definitely not a happy teacher in Brazil due to the lack of appreciation in my profession and in my professional skills. I am not sure whether I can put up with it any longer.😓😫😖

Besides making little money, being a teacher or a professor in Brazil can bring us all really down.

For some mysterious reason, authorities are not respected figures down here. The Police are not respected down here. Years of dictatorship (64~85) helped  build a negative image of our Brazilian military.  Brazilian teachers, for instance, have zero respect from students, their parents, and even from the faculty itself.

I am Brazilian. I come from a line of teachers. I grew up listening to horrible stories of back talks, classroom disrespectful scenes, harassments, name calling, real "slaps on the face" as Brazilian would put it.

I've been an English teacher interruptedly  for 21 years. I've gone through much... sometimes more than I can take. I wish I were well treated by having the most beautiful occupation ever.

CENSORSHIP HAS NEVER BEEN THIS REAL

Today, on October 30th 2015, I was asked not to talk about the president in my classroom,  not with disrespect. FYI, I own a language school. It is my husband's too. It was not too long ago, I had finger pointed at in my job. My Friday mornings are getting way too exciting. I have no words to describe to what happened this morning. A student of mine who is 8 years old saw a youtube video, a funny and real youtube video with our president Dilma Rousseff saying publicly things such as: ''We need to create advanced technology to store wind so that we can use it to generate electricity," (!!!) OMG. Among other things, she compares children to Dogs, and she greets yuccas along with corn cobs; She is out of her mind. No need to be either a leftist or a rightist to realize that her speeches are nonsense. She can't connect any dot, and yet I shall never speak ill of her. How is this possible? Is this a dream? Wake me up when it is all over.

I love YouTube videos. I learn a lot from them. I also mostly care for books and movies. I’ve carried the same pens in my pencil case for twelve years. I love handwriting. I guess I had to end up teaching youtube video lessons with flashcards. I am a good chef. I might make a cooking video to teach culinary actions in English.  I cook very well but the problem is I'm lazy. I love vegetarian deli platters. I like Christina Applegate just because Donnie Darko made me do it. I collect coins from different countries. I love helping my friends if there is something I can do. I don't retaliate - simply can't. I love colors. I can't stand work associates that set up plots to get themselves better positions or a mere raise. I don't want to be a victim of psychopaths ever again either. I am never punctual. I fear driving. I fear sitting on the passenger's side too.

We want Brazil into a free democracy!

I don't spend loads on books, but I do splurge on second-hand ones. I hate people with no sense of humor. I don't give alms but I monthly donate money to some institutions. I love The Legendary Pink Dots. I listen to Muddy Waters. I've got no patience for country music. I complain a lot. I hate when others think my mother tongue is Spanish and the capital of my country is Rio de Janeiro - I'll shoot any person who has ever thought of that. I mean it.

I've lived in Caxias do Sul for 14 years (Rio Grande do Sul state - Brazil), and has worked at a language school painted yellow, blue, red, orange, and green. I don't correct all tests and compositions myself. I sometimes do, but when I do it, it takes me way too long time. I am a procrastinator. For that, I've hired Vanessa Ventura (this was written so long time ago that Vanessa has graduated and is working as an English teacher by now) - my caring secretary, helper, student, and friend. I love working out but I'm very lazy. I like autobiographies. I hate knickknacks. I love Pollock. I loathe washing dishes. I sometimes need to be alone. I hate soccer. I'd rather watch sepaktakraw. I'd rather root for a hockey team. I don’t know how to play cards. I would love to know how to sing. I would like to play softball. I love Munch. I drink too much coffee. Did I mentioned that? I detest making beds. I love the feeling of having them made. I love Camembert and Gouda cheese (oopsy, I am a vegan now). Fashion pretty much sucks, in my opinion. I have never known what to say in the presence of celebrities. My friends say I am a lot crazy. I have a hot-spot for musicians, jiu-jitsu wrestlers, and skaters. No more desktop PCs for me. By PCs, I mean Communist Parties in Portuguese. I have always been happily in love. I love Marlon Brando, Brian Molko, Jake Gyllenhaal, and River Phoenix. I love my father too. He's a freaking good grammarian. I can’t live without make-ups. I loathe Amélie Poulain. I hate experimental art. I do believe this is a cheap excuse for poor art making and understanding. I sleep less than I would like to. I write poetry. I have blue hair. I hate mystifying people. I don’t like trivial mysteries. I despise phony people... well... not so much! I love stripes. I've already given shelter to trespassers and outcasts. I was a leftist once. People learn better. I am a rightist pro-choice who believe in the individual free will. I’ve stopped eating meat for very long however I do not advocate that. I simply believe that killing animals for any purpose whatsoever is such a hedious crime just as pedofilia, rapes, and human slavery are. I believe in many superstitions. Ich bin 39 Jahren alt und habe keine kinder. Jetzt bin ich sehr glücklich. Ich suche Freunde für Deutsch schreiben, sprechen und lernen. When I was a child, I loved birthday parties, not for the presents, but because I'd use the gift wraps to draw or write on them. I don’t like TV. I love my back. I love laughing at myself. I hate hip hop celebrities. My students say I am way crazy (I teach languages for a living btw). I despise people who take themselves too seriously. I hate aristocrats. I collect self-portraits of myself. I barely recognize people on the phone by their voices. I can’t stand stinginess. I hate Goddard. I love Fassbinder. I don't hate Mondrian. I love Frida Kahlo. I don’t like good taste. I am very hairy. I have lived in Florida on a peninsule by the Gulf of Mexico. I miss those days.

Needless to say that I like teaching languages with flashcards. I've decided on teaching online with flashcards. My video lessons are no longer than 6 minutes. So, take some time to watch them and learn with fun. :)

On leaving PCdoB

Hello, whoever reads or will read this post!

I am a Brazilian teacher. I teach languages. I've kept this blog since 2004. If you take some time to check my previous posts, really old posts, you'll notice that I mention about Brazil's general situation here and there. I was never engaged in politics. So, that has changed. Since June 2013*, I have become interested in protesting and doing my part. On March 15th, April 12th, and August 16th this year, always on Sundays, more than 2.5 Million people wearing the colors of our flag protested on the streets of Brazil. Since last year's presidential election, many popular moviments, especially LIBERAL moviments, have popped up and led these people, me included.

Last August, I got to join Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL), which was translated by The Economist as Free Brazil Movement. Since the World Cup, July 2014, the country started being divided, there was some tension between the ones who approved of everything President Dilma and her Labour Party "did" to receive the World Cup in Brazil, and the ones who got outraged and frustrated by the amounts of money that were supposedly spent on building soccer stadiums and better airports all over the country. Let alone that Brazil is a continental nation; one can fit over 20 Frances in our territory. Some stadiums and airports were never finished, including Rio de Janeiro international airport, but the money was all spent.

Guess which side I picked?

There are countless corruption scandals directly related to PT - Partido dos Trabalhadores (Workers' Party - openly Bolivarian socialists). Brazilian media, as a matter of fact the leftist media, came up with a label to call those who have begun opposing President Dilma and her party PT: "coxinhas", which is literally the name of a typical Brazilian dumpling filled with schredded chicken or beef. Coxinhas are also called "reactionary" and therefore rightists.

You may call me rightist, coxinha, or reactionary. I know that I do not partake any socialist, communist, or any leftist ideology... In reality, I had always called myself an ANARCHIST. However, I have grown, lived, and learned. People may call me a LIBERTARIAN, as I favor the freedom of the individual. I favor justice and progress. In the past, people could call me "communist". I did join PCdoB when I was 16 and dilligently worked for this ideology. It took me years to free myself. I am 39 now and I declare my wish to unjoin the Brazilian Communist Party as I do not partake its socialist and communist ideals. I am out of it. My name must be related to liberal ideals.

How's it going?

Emanuelle Thomaziello, a furadora do Pixuleco, respondeu aos comentários sobre o video dela defendendo o ex-presidente Lula. Suas análises sobre os comentários são cheias de preconceito e outras ideias nonsense.

Emanuelle is really delusional.

Segundo ela, os ricos estão com "medo" de dividir a sala de aula da faculdade com os pobres. Quem cita a palavra "medo", é a autora do texto, senhorita Manu. Ricos com medo de pobres? O indivíduo pobre promove MEDO? Isso nem faz sentido.

Todos os brasileiros vivem o medo rotineiramente, tão intrinsicamente, que achamos normal gradear janelas e não poder andar calmamente nas ruas de noite.

Os pobres, os de classe média e os ricos do Brasil tem MEDO de tudo e de TODOS. Não confiamos nas palavras. Não cremos em políticos. Não confiamos na polícia. Não confiamos em médicos. Não confiamos no vizinho, no taxista, no advogado, nas vacinas, no mecânico, no gerente do banco... Tudo é cartório e fiador... Sufocante.

Ela cita que uma socialite se ofendeu porque  mal-vestidos estão pegando avião com ela. Para as socialites, eu penso, todo mundo deve andar mal-vestido mesmo. É por pensar assim que elas são chamadas "SOCIALITE". Se a Manu associa ser pobre com "andar mal-vestido", bem; o julgamento está sendo feito pela autora do texto, again. Delusional, isn't it?

Política de Cotas é XENOFOBIA sim. Só que para esquerdopatas, essa XENOFOBIA pode!

"A elite tem raiva do crescimento econômico do nordeste..." Como assim? Qual crescimento econômico? E elite de qual região do Brasil? Se o nordeste estivesse realmente crescendo economicamente, duvido que a elite nordestina estaria com raiva.

Manu foi muito criativa tbm quando escreve, "E esse ódio não é de agora! A ânsia da elite por  condições de privilégio existiu em meados do século XIX..." Impressionante que antes disso, ninguém nunca ansiou por privilégios. E os ricos de hoje, eles são ricos devido a privilégios? Really?

Que brilhante, para o século XIX, desenvolver o conceito de classes sociais, e mais tarde  acreditar que uma oprime a outra. Isso deve ter sido muito revolucionário mesmo, para o século XIX.

Se é fato de que há muitos pobres, porque há os ricos; uhmm... já que minha família é pobre e numerosa, deveríamos combinar um suicídio coletivo, para ver se nascem mais ricos no mundo.
