2010

I am typing from my parents' house. As a matter of fact, I am typing from my parents' school. I have been here since Dec. 24th, 2009. Never have I gotten so many Christmas presents. It's been years I don't take vacation for resting o-n-l-y. Not once have I done the dishes or made my bed or beds here.

We are actually staying at this place, which is a school, with two separate bedrooms (which are classrooms). We are staying here because of our two cats which don't get along so well with each other. They should soon. But you know, cats are unpredictable. My mom owns a dog and Roberto's parents hate cats. So, we ended up staying here. It is not bad though, we've got a filled small fridge, water, telephone, cookies, a slow bugged computer with internet connection, tons of magazines and books, hot shower, and safe parking. Whatelse would we need?

Speaking of the devils, I mean CATS, Frida is not Frida per se, it is officially registered at HIS vet's office as PANCHO VILLA now because it is a male cat. Yep, Pancho is a boy. It's a wild black male cat. What news! I've been suffering from a strong allergy (propably because of the cats) and I can't stop sneezing. My throat is all hurt because of it.

Saddly I have got no pictures to post (not of my throat, LOL, but of my cats and things, people and places from around here) as my new camera is mostly a video camera and it is not so good for photos, besides it requests the installation of a software and I do not want to mess up with other people's computer. I have brought my laptop, but it is too much hassle to get internet connection plus installing the thing. I am just too lazy. I will buy a photocamera soon. The old one I had got broken. I let it drop on the floor. Big bummer.

I loved that old camera. It is curious to call a four-year-old camera "old." But that's how fast technology ages in our hands. Besides, it is crooked and it does not turn on. It is a dead camera.

My head kinda aches because of the allergy. I feel as I am under the influence of strong flu medicine. OMG! Lemme talk about the weather now: it is insanily HOT. We are getting +35C and higher. I am not used to this anymore. I wanna get back home. I want the feeling of 22C max and I wanna play ROCK BAND 2. I want to spend time decorating my apartment. I want to have those
Sunday getaways and have lunch at those restaurants located in the middle of grape crops (literally). This is too much whining though. At least here, I have been controling my food intake (sorta) and sleeping like a log.

What I really miss is our
last vacation, for sure. Well, I wish everyone the best year ever. May 2010 be divine. It is vital that this year we become savvier and wiser.

I hope the best for everyone. E-v-e-r-y-o-n-e.

Paying a tribute to one of my best students

The girl's name is Carol. She's with her boyfriend on this photo. Carol has studied with me for almost three years now (it's a GUESStimation). She's simply great. I love teaching her because she's dedicated and really ruled by principles. I am sure she's gonna read this post so, this is a POST for you, CAROL. I wish you all the best of luck and success at your "VESTIBULARES." You'll pass the examinations that you will try. I am so certain about it. I am gonna miss you so bad. That is something I am not trying to antecipate but I know it is going to happen. I am already missing you and Maira too. I love you two.
Take Care, girls

meh - PART II

Okay! I had twenty minutes of silence. That was a relief. Now the music is back. BRIAN ADAMS is being played. I wish we could call the police to report bad taste in music down here in Brazil. Gee, this is getting ridiculous.

meh

What goes on in a person's mind when it is Sunday morning and you are awake and your neighbor too, but your neighbor, instead of being quiet, making his breakfast, or cleaning his house, he decides to play loud music. LOOOOUD. And the songs range from the crappiest ones ("Love is in the air", Flashdance soundtrack, and Celine Dion hits) to those ridiculous classical music hits such as ("Haleluia" and "Nuptial March"). What in heavens have I done to deserve this? Oh Lord, help me.

in my life i have learned that it is so much easier being depressed because happiness is just far too shocking, people would be completely content being down-trodden and sticking that out. happiness tricks you up because you feel like you don’t deserve it. it takes work. it’s a skill, actually. this is just a little side note that i have recently discovered. do what you have to do to be happy, genuinely, disgustingly happy, and do not question it or turn it over and over again until it makes sense because you will spoil it. accept it and carry on.
anyway, i seem to collect sad people, i feel like the saddest one of them all and i do a fair enough job hiding it as best i can so much so the general population doesn’t know it, ‘cept for the rest of the sad guys, they know it. you can sense it very easily. sometimes i sense it so profoundly (i swear i’m not baked right now) emanating off some stranger or other and i have to either leave the room or say something to them about it

Pet Peeves about my sleeping disorder

I often fall asleep with my computer on on my lap. The thing is that it has been cold like hell (oh well, hell must be hot, but who knows really?) and because of that I kinda prefer to type and navigate under blankets in bed. Then I usually wake up by the sound of something dropping on the floor. I am glad that HP makes tough laptops.

Walls

To see a wall in your dream, signifies limitations. obstacles and boundaries. There is a barrier obstructing your progress. You may be too accustomed to your old habits and way of thinking.

To dream that you are building a wall, signifies a bad relationship or some childhood trauma. It also suggests that you have accepted your limitations.

Black Power

I have already felt trapped, and  even powerless due to being with someone who wouldn't give me validation, hope. I lacked h...
